International Children`s Folk Dance Festival in France

From 13th to 16th May children from all partcipating countries got together in France in the village of Genouille to take part in the International Children`s Folk Dance Festival which was the top event of the project. Children of each country introduced their national folk dances, then children danced those folk dances together. It was a big event which showed that despite the fact that children speak different languages, music and dance are the language which unites people. Teachers, parents and villagers took part in the festival together with children.

Children really enjoyed the trip to France. They enjoyed meeting children from other countries and communicating with them. They enjoyed staying in the host families where everyone was so friendly, kind and caring. They enjoyed dancing folk dances of different countries. They enjoyed the cultural programme prepared by the French teachers and children. That was unforgetable experience which children will remember forever.

Kallis Kodu (Dear Home)

The song "Kallis Kodu" (Dear Home) was chosen by the students of Pärnu Vene gümnnasium for introductions to the project partners. Students learned the song at the music lessons and recorded it. The song is about love for the motherland where you were born and where your home is, where everything is dear to you.
